This list has been compiled from titles given by E W Christmas to his works when they were exhibited or included in contemporary publications, titles given to works by auction houses when writing up particulars for sales and descriptive titles provided by owners of works in private collections from their understanding of the subject matter of the works (or, in the absence of such knowledge, descriptive titles provided by the creators of this list). Since the paintings frequently do not carry their titles with them, it will be apparent that, where no distinguishing details, such as dimensions, are known, it is possible that the same work may be listed more than once, but under different names. If you own a picture, it is well worth taking it out of its frame and backing as the website authors have found that descriptions, and even detailed comments, can often be found on the reverse of the board in Christmas' handwriting.
Note of Warning: the New Zealander, C F Goldie, formerly an art forger known as Karl F Sim, in his autobiography, Good as Goldie, included E W Christmas amongst the list of artists whose work he had forged.
